Last night I returned from a journey that was very significant to me, a pilgrimage to the holy places of the Baha’í faith in Haifa, Israel. The 18 Terraces around the Shrine of the Báb in Haifa are a stunning work of landscape and architecture. But the place that touched me the most was Bahji, near Akko, where the Shrine of Bahá’u’lláh lies tranquilly in the center of a beautiful circular garden. Drawing this scene right on location has been a joy I will never forget. Regardless of denomination, I can recommend this journey to anyone who is looking for true inspiration.
